POSITION SUMMARY

Resolves repair & maintenance problems by conferring with Facilities Management, Operations, and Marketing departments. Manage internal technician team and external vendors for reactive and proactive repair and maintenance items.

 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

·       Identifies maintenance requirements and costs by coordinating with management, equipment manufacturers, tradesmen, and technicians.

·       Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; negotiating and hiring contractors; following up on work results to ensure effective and proper execution.

·       Manages repair and maintenance operation by determining work priorities, scheduling, repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and equipment.

·       Ensures repairs are performed cost effectively by examining records, reports, operating practices and other documentation.

·       Controls expenses by gathering and submitting budget information; scheduling expenditures; monitoring variances; implementing corrective actions.

·       Increases employees’ effectiveness by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training; communicates job expectations, values, strategies and objectives; coaches, counsels and disciplines employees; plan, monitor and appraise job results; foster a climate conducive for offering information and opinions; provides educational opportunities.

·       Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing organization standards; adhering to legal regulations.

·       Creates, maintains, and executes equipment repair training seminars to internal technician team.

·       Conduct internal technician service truck inventory and enforce organizational standards.

·       Completes operational requirements by developing schedules; assigning and monitoring work; gathering resources; implementing productivity standards; resolving problems; maintaining reference manuals; implementing and enforcing new procedures.

·       Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reading professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

·       Contributes to team effort by accomplishing Financial and Key Result Area targets\ pursuant to Company plan guidelines.

 

REQUIREMENTS

·       Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.  Other combinations of job related experience and education that meet the requirements might be substituted.

·       Two years of experience in facility maintenance or more preferred.

·       Expertise in MS Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
