JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for enhancements to and day to day support of enterprise applications including PeopleSoft HR/Payroll/BenAdmin and related custom interfaces and applications.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

·       Develops and modifies complex information systems by formulating and defining system scope and objectives through research and fact-finding.

·       Interacts effectively with business users. Investigates application issues and problems and analyzes change requests from those users. Identifies and recommends the best course of action required in order to resolve issues or meet needs.

·       Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written, often by other team members.

·       Provides technical guidance to other team member’s related to testing, coding design and techniques.

·       Designs, codes, thoroughly tests, debugs documents, and maintains those programs.

·       Keeps management informed by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information; preparing reports including progress reviews. Participates in peer design and code reviews as needed.

·       Ensures compliance with requirements, policies, and regulations by enforcing adherence to corporate systems and policies; advising management on needed actions.

·       Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

·       Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field. Applicable work experience can be substituted for a degree.

·       A minimum of 5 years’ experience maintaining and developing PeopleSoft HR delivered and custom applications systems using Peopletools, Query Tool, AppEngine, Process Scheduler, SQR, and SQL.

·       A minimum of 5 years’ experience in supporting PeopleSoft HR/Payroll/Benadmin modules required. Experience in other modules, such as Time and Labor, Self Service, and Talent Acquisition Management a very strong plus.

·       Proven systems analysis, design, and problem solving skills. Strong organizational and project management skills and experience a plus.

·       Ability to work under pressure on multiple projects with minimal supervision and within multiple time constraints.

·       Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Effective communications with IT and business staff across the organization, as well as external parties.

·       Strong Oracle database experience in a Unix environment required, preferably in 10G or 11G. Experience in supporting and developing Unix shell scripts a strong plus.

·       Experience with Toad, XML, Crystal Reports, and PeopleSoft version 9.0 or later a plus.

·       Experience supporting HR related systems a plus. Fluency in French a very strong plus.

·       Experience in the convenience store or retail industry a strong plus.
